Kindergarten is a great time to begin practicing shoe tying. To practice the motor pattern for shoe tying, have your child sit at a table. Place a shoe on the table with a device to watch the video. Your child can watch the video and follow along on their shoe. Once the pattern is familiar, your child can begin to tie the shoe when it is on their foot.
