Summer Reading 2023
Students will choose their own book for summer 2023. You will choose a book you enjoy, which is age and reading level appropriate, and appropriate to your own interests. This summer we ask that you focus on the elements of emotion, theme, symbolism and character development. On Friday, September 22, you will meet in your Advisory groups and take a 4 question summative assessment on your novel. You may bring your novel with you on this day.
This grade will be applied to your first quarter English grade. Anyone who chooses not to participate will receive a 0.
*NEHS and AP Lit students have separate assignments. Please speak with Mrs. Brockmyre.
Please see Lisa Estabrook, High School Librarian, with any questions. Happy reading!
