    • An important skill in neat handwriting is pencil control. Beginning writers can practice pencil control by coloring, completing dot to dots, and tracing designs. Dot to dots and mazes are great activities to practice pencil control. In OT we practice starting and stopping on targets to prepare for placing letters on the lines with accuracy and retracing lines when making letters.
